Were thinking of buying another cat and I want to find out what kind of orange breed cats are there. If you know a couple let me know!

Many pedigreed breeds, long haired and short haired, plus non-pedigreed pets can be “orange”. If you search for red cats (or cream if you prefer dilute colours) online you will find photos of many breeds. is a good site to learn more about pedigreed cats. Off the top of my head:

      Devon Rex
      Cornish Rex
      Japanese Bobtail
      Munchkin
      Scottish Fold
      Selkirk Rex
      Sphynx
      Turkish Van
      Persian
      Exotic Shorthair
      American Shorthair
      Maine Coon
      Oriental

Do consider adopting a rescue, whether it be pedigreed or a beautiful household pet cat.

      Have fun!

Every time you “buy” any animal, it means no home for one kitten born in some litter today, one stray you didn’t adopt.
Go to a shelter and ask for an orange cat, or better still adopt any cat and then grow to appreciate that color… They are all beautiful.

Orange Tabby cats are adorable, and extremely affectionate.

You should know that most orange cats are male (genetically) just as most tortoiseshell cats are female. Keep this in mind when adopting your new pal — you’ll want to consider whether your current friend will want the new friend to be a boy or a girl.

There are no breeds that are specifically prange, but most breeds have a allowed coloration where they allow for orange.
