    cat breeds
    R ? I ? P ? Casey Calvert asked:

I really want a kitty, but I want a Finnish breed. A short hair. Something that would be good for a new home and teenager.
Any suggestions? even if its not Finnish, I would perfer if it was.

I couldn’t find anything online about a Finnish short-hair cat, but there are plenty of short-hair tabby cats that are wonderful.

There is a breed called the Finnish Rex. It’s closely related to the Devon and Cornish Rex without the short, curly coat. You can see an example at.

      Hope that helps.

Fordicus - Reference that delineates Cornish and Devon Rex from Finnish Rex.

There are no pedigree breeds of cat specific to Finland. Sorry to say there is NOT a breed of cat called the Finish Rex! Just a Finnish Rex Cat Club for Finnish cat breeders with Cornish Rex and Devon Rex cats! However, the pedigree European Shorthair was developed using a lot of Scandinavian cats so this is the nearest thing there is.
