My favorite are regular old alley cats. They are the best, better than any purebred

do you like short or long hair cats? if you like long hair cats then you will like Persian cats. if you like short hair then you will like a Sphinx.

I think you should just rescue a little kitten from a shelter and save it’s life.
But if you are certain you want a purebred, it would be hard to say which is the best for you because only you know what you will like.
What are some traits or features you like in a cat? Long hair or short hair? Color? Larger cats or smaller ones?

Honey, you can get purebred cats at animal shelters and rescue organizations everday ! Please check out petfinder.org and consider adopting before you contribute to the money hungry breeders who are helping to overpopulate our over crowded shelters. And as far as the breed characteristics, it will be dependant upon the cats individual personality more than what a breed certificate says.

I love bengal cats.I have one and bengals are fairly small and very affectionate. they even play frisbee with you and love attention. They are literally incapable of hissing and meow very little. They are also very gentle and gymnastic.

I am a huge fan of Burmese and had many of this breed. Although very individual characters, they have loads in common. They are very ‘people’persons, very cuddly and affectionate and gernerally get on well with other cats. I have both males and females and I can’t recommend one over the other. They are all just the greatest fun. You would not be dissapointed.

I suggest either a silverberry or a brown tabby! A silverberry has a beautiful coat that’s silver with black markings all over, such as “bracelets”, “necklaces” and there’s a “butterfly” on their backs! The brown tabby is the exact same thing but instead of silver it’s brown. The silver berry is Woody on the Friskies can and the brown tabby is the one on the Friskies commercial! They both are just s00000 lovable!

First, let me stress that there are so many amazing cats in animal shelters whose lives you could save if you were to adopt one. I know you have two adopted cats already, but each cat has its own personality and you might just find your perfect match there! Over 90% of the cats that come in to my local shelter each month end up being euthanized because there are simply more animals than homes for them. I assume that this statistic is much the same throughout the US. Wouldn’t you like to say that you saved a life AND gained a loveable little furball at the same time?
That being said, if you are dead-set on a purebred, animal planet has a nice tool on their website that tells you the best breeds for you based on your answers to a handful of questions (apparently I’m best matched with Ragdolls). You can follow the links to read more about the different breeds’ personalities and temperaments.

Look first to what you expect in a cat, high energy, Bengal or Savannah, but they are expensive, I breed both so I’m biased.
I always liked the Abyssinian, but never got round to getting one, they are beautiful in colour and temperament.
All breeds have there own little character’s, but make sure you have a highly socialized cat, or you will find it will spend most of it’s time avoiding you.
Toms will spray even if altered, so remember that, and if you don’t intend to breed get it neutered soon as.
Good luck
