justlilolme asked:
How can you tell the difference in a true breed and a regular domestic cat? I have a pure grey kitty with green eyes, no other markings on him. He looks like a cross between a korat and a chartreux. More like a Chartreux except eye color. He has a compact little body and weighs right at 10 lbs. (he is 3 yrs now) I rescued him for an auto assembly plant at 3 wks old…really doubt a lot of pure breeds are floating around this feral colony. So, is it knowing their blood line and having papers that makes it a true breed or their physical appearance?
I wish I could post a pic but not that computer savvy so here are 2 links very similar:

His personality is more like described with the korat…I just thought it was because I was his seregate mama!

You probably just have a lovely domestic shorthair gray tabby.

Your statement
“So, is it knowing their blood line and having papers that makes it a true breed or their physical appearance?”
it’s the paper work and blood line, not the appearance that determines the breed.
