Just google cat breeds or something. Also go to a local shelter and ask if they recognize the type of cat you have. Also, if the cats are abandoned strays they are probably not a specific breed. A real breed would be to valuable to abandon. They are probably a mix. Why is this question in the books section?

If theyre strays they most likely are a mix of several different breeds and it would be impossible to figure out what breeds are in them…you could look up different breeds and try to find similarities but i doubt you could pinpoint the exact breed(s)

most likely if they showed up at your house they are strays and have mixed breeding. You could simply call them a domestic short hair or domestic long hair. You might want to ask your vet, since they see a lot of cats in their line of work.
