    cat breeds
    Mrs. Jonas asked:

I have 2 daughters and 1 son. One of my daughters are 2 the other is 12. My son is 7, but he is disabled (cant walk) But he wont really be in alot contact with the pet. My parents are retired seniors. I want a pet that doesnt need a whole lot of exercise or grooming. I prefer not any animal too big. Please list me a dog breed AND a cat breed that would be good for me AND why.

Get a yellow lab. They are good dogs but if your son has alergies get a hypoallergenic dog or cat. I have a weimy(weimaraner) if you search them they are great dogs. GOOD LUCK!

I think labs are great - but for you situation - I think Labs will need too much of your attention to exercise & such.

I think a basset hound would be your best bet. Some of the “traditional” breeds are actually too energetic or tend to bit - like cockerspaniels and poodles can be a handful to train correctly.

I don’t know much about cats - I would think you could tell at any shelter -adopt a quiet ADULT cat.

Good luck - pets are great & I’m glad you realize that the average temperment of a breed is something to consider before you adopt a pet. Good for you!
