I have a maine coon cat and he thinks he is one of the dogs. They even sleep together in the dog bed… too cute~ great cats!

get a kitten, i dontr think it would really matter what breed, b/c if you let the cat & dog grow up together then they will be used to each other & not chase each other around,etc.
