Gus M asked:
I seem to remember seeing a television report about an american cat breeder who breeds cats that don’t cast. Does anyone know if this is true and if so, any info on who, where etc.
Sorry for the confusion over the word “cast”. I mean doesn ‘t shed hair.
The reason I ask is that although as a kid, we always had cats round the house. I have at last managed to move out of the city but now seem to have developed an allergy to certain cats (not all) and I’m assuming it’s down to the hair.

I think maybe the hairless variety might work. I like the Sphinx but some people think they’re ugly.
IT MEANS SHEDDING THEIR HAIR

The breeds of cat that do not shed (significantly) are Sphynx, Devon Rex, Cornish Rex and LaPerm.
