Lop eared cats are called Scottish Fold. See link below for all the details. They are very tough to find.

I’m not sure but once a man came to our school with a rabbit/cat cross. No kidding, it was half rabbit half cat. I dont know how it happened, but it did. It had long ears like a rabbit, a face like a cat, fur like a cat, front legs and body like a cat and back legs like a rabbit and it hopped like a rabbit. I dont know what u would call it. I am serious, I saw this thing.

There are no cats with ears that hang down the sides of their face. There is one with ears that looked cropped/folded (Scottish Fold) and those that look like their ears are curled (American curl) and there is a rabbit that looks *somewhat* like a cat (English Angora Rabbit). You can find all these animals by googling them.

WHAT? I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A BREED OF CAT. THERE IS A CAT THAT HAS FOLDED EARS CALLED A SCOTTISH FOLD, BUT IT’S EARS ARE NOT LONG NOR DO THEY HANG DOWN THE SIDE OF IT’S FACE. SOME BREEDS SEEM TO HAVE LARGE TALL EARS, BUT NO FLOPPIES. STRANGE.

The Devon Rex cannot be mistaken because apart from a short wavy coat he has exaggeratedly full cheeks, large eyes and oversized ears.
