Dude asked:
I have a black/musky cat with Angorian features. She is long and slender with an abnormally long fuzzy tail. A vet told me Angorians are mostly light colored, so are there any other breeds out there? I got my cat for free somebody dumped her in front of a liquor store I work at when she was about 6 weeks old I’m just curious. Thanks.

She could be a Maine Coon mix. Angoras can come in a variety of colors, but the Turkish Angoras are white. The Maine Coons have fuller tails and tend to be larger cats.

Your cat is just a non-pedigree mixed breed, in all likelihood.
There is no such breed as an Angorian; it is called a Turkish Angora. Your vet right to say that most Angoras are lighter colours, as the most popular colour for the breed is white. However, darker coloured Angoras do also exist, including black Angoras.
Angoras are a rare pedigree breed and if you have found a long haired cat it is going to be a Domestic Longhair. The chances of a breeder of a rare and expensive pedigree cat dumping one of their kittens when they are so tiny are slim to none.

Turkish Angoras come in any color(beside cinnamon or points or..) means beside the well known white..tabbies silvers dilute colors..
also cream ,red is common..
so your cat can be an Angora cat(turkish)
bred in the usa ,europe and elsewhere,, or she is just a lovely longhaired domestic lookalike Angora..
Every cat is a piece of art
