Yes they will breed together if they are living together.

However, you need to ensure that the female is physically and emotionally mature before she is bred. She should be at least a year old otherwise you will have a high risk of problems such as the kittens being abandonned.

It doesn't matter if they live together or not, they'll breed when the time is 'right'. It's true that some males will kill the offspring of another male and a few might even kill their own offspring. In fact, even some females will kill kittens. Honestly, I would get them spayed and neutered asap. Unless you're going to keep the kittens (spaying/neutering all), they'll most likely end up in the shelter sooner or later. It's not terribly difficult to place kittens, but once they grow up and aren't as cute/fun people change their minds. Plus, the parents (yes, females too) will start spraying when they mature. Spaying/neutering before maturity will greatly reduce the risk, but afterwards it makes little to no difference.

Here's more info on cats that kill kittens:

Get a robot cat that you can program. Like a designer one, where you can change its features, & tell the shop what you want it to do, & then can get you the right model. Get one that doesn't poop or need food either, cos that's really annoying. Also, don't forget to ask them to install the poison darts in its eyes, & get them to give you a remote control, so that when someone comes to the door that you don't like, you can fire those darts right into their knees!

Seriously dude, its an animal - they all have their own personalities, souls & minds. Its not a circus animal. Adopt a kitty & get to love it for who it is.

Your cats will breed. The boy just hasn't figured out how to do it YET.

I assume your cats are pedigreed, registered and tested to be free of any health conditions or genetic defects, right? The person who sold you the cats should, ethically, offer to mentor you or refer you to someone who will answer all of your questions. Perhaps the contracts you have on the cats you bought, if they are pedigreed cats, prohibits you from breeding them.

If your cats are not pedigreed, tested to be healthy and clear of risk, and you do not have a good mentor to help you with this, then you are making risky choices with living beings.

If you are breeding "mutt cats", why? Do you have a lineup of forever pet homes willing to take as many as eight kittens from you? Will you spay/neuter and vaccinate them before they go to their forever homes? If yes, then what about the mixed breed kittens waiting to be adopted from shelters in your community? Who will adopt them?

You have lots to learn.

No it is not true and yes they would breed. I don't mean to be mean but if this is your knowledge about cats you should not breed. Are they a pure breed cat? We do not need any more mixed domestic cats. Look at the shelters and rescues there are so many now that don't have homes. If you want kittens go to the humane society or rescue and adopt a litter.Your cat doesn't need to have more for you to have kittens. It is healthier for your cats to get spayed/neutered. Hope you will take that into consideration, thanks!

Yes, buying a specific breed will not guarantee that it will behave like it's supposed to - afterall cats don't come with manuals.

Forget a purebred cat. You are talking personality not breed. And you should know most cats sleep 12-16 hours a day, and insist on a clean litter box, and lots of clean water and as to food they will let you know what they like, but don't buy cheap cat food, the nutrition value is iffy at best. And some male cats are prone to kidney problems and need to be watched.
And as already mentioned, go to the local shelter, these cats NEED homes. There will be many to choose from. When you walk by the cages the social ones will come out to greet you. And you cant train a cat to be an attack cat. The cat decides if they do or don't like someone. You mention you want a male cat, just remember if you don't want him to spray, you have to get him fixed by the time he is 3 months old,and you will need to get him all his shots. Most shelters will require this to be done before you take them home or if to young you will have to sign paperwork promising to do so asap.

If you want kittens, go adopt them from an animal shelter, and on your way home, stop at a vet and make appointments to get them all (including your existing cats) spayed/ neutered like someone with an ounce of responsibility and common sense.

why don't you go online to the animal shelters and see what they have, you would be surprised to find what they have there and you would be saving a life.

Please get them both spayed/neutered. The female is too young to breed without it taking a toll on her health. Your cats will be better pets and much healthier. Neutering can prevent cancers in both sexes. also there are far too many cats/kittens euthanized due to lack of homes.
