I seem to remember seeing a television report about an american cat breeder who breeds cats that don’t cast. Does anyone know if this is true and if so, any info on who, where etc.
Sorry for the confusion over the word “cast”. I mean doesn ‘t shed hair.
The reason I ask is that although as a kid, we always had cats round the house. I have at last managed to move out of the city but now seem to have developed an allergy to certain cats (not all) and I’m assuming it’s down to the hair.

The area where I live has COYOTES, and the last three cats were all american domestics and had the desire to go outdoors. I have had each one for about a year, then they got eaten. I’m starting to think that the breed is more of an outdoor type. I need a breed that is specially breed to NOT go outdoors. I need help. my sister has a cat like this and it’s kinda goldish with lighter layers and small amounts of white. we don’t know what type it is and i’m just curious to see if it’s a pure breed or if we just got lucky on getting a good looking cat with no real background like a “mut”. oh i don’t know if this will help but it has hair on the bottom of it’s feet between the toes that makes the feet look like pom-poms.
