I’m looking for a cat for an elderly person. She has a toy poodle who weighs about 6 pounds, maybe a little less. The dog is very sweet, and not obnoxious in any way to cats. (I have a cat and the dog just looks at her, comes up, then walks away.) The lady wants a cat who probably isn’t going to get huge as it matures, as she doesn’t want the cat to pummel the dog around.

Can you think of any cat breeds that stay fairly small, and adjust well to an environment with other animals? Also, she’d prefer it to have its hair on the shorter side.
Thanks for your help, I appreciate it!
